The Temple welcomes all those who are interested in volunteering their time to build community in their areas. All it takes is the courage to pick up a copy of Witchcrafting by Phyllis Curott and start holding study groups with the book as your guide.
Build up enough hours hosting study groups, as well as encouraging your participants to become dues-paying members, and you could qualify for discounts to our training intensives and other educational programs, as well as waived membership fees. Discounts, scholarships, and waived fees are only available to those who have demonstrated consistent and exceptional commitment to the Temple via any one of the following:
- Volunteering 40 hours, with proof, within the fiscal year on a Temple committee, program or project.
- Working to advance the mission of the Temple and increase exposure with tangible, proven results.
- Working to establish an active Temple of Ara community, with mentoring guidance via the Temple Elders and/or Initiates, in the petitioner’s home or work location.
- Raising $250 in funding (profit after expenses) within the fiscal year for the Temple through membership drives, donations, endowments, fundraising drives, organizing and/or facilitating events.
NB: Membership waivers are valid for 1 fiscal year only, and not in perpetuity. Member must consistently and annually meet above requirements to qualify for waiver of membership dues and discounts for events. Discounts to events not to exceed 25%. Member must consistently meet Temple of Ara code of conduct and core tenets.
