Spell Rebellions
As an activist tradition that honors Nature as the embodiment of the Divine, we have created empowering and transformational rituals as a way for all of us, as a community, to respond with positive action to the current negative state of politics, pollution and the pervasive feelings of powerlessness.
The Spell Rebellion is our antidote to this time of anxiety and chaos, when so much of what we stand for and value seems to be at risk. And that’s what Activism in Accord is all about – putting our values into practice.
It’s not about what we believe, it’s about what we do.
The Spell Rebellions bring us into harmony with the seasonal wisdom of Mother Earth; Activism in Accord draws upon the energy of the Divine that lives inside us and that sustains us in the world around us.
We support one another as we make commitments to actions that embody our central precept –we seek to live in a sacred manner because we live in a sacred world. Our goal is to protect and defend our Mother as a healthy and sacred planet.
Our Spell Rebellion rituals are held for free at the Equinoxes and Solstices. Because these holidays are reflective of the Sun’s journey throughout the year, we draw upon the characteristics of the luminary Sun. As the Sun puts forth light, so it brings forth life. The Sun’s golden glow is a vital life force which imbues us with strength, energy and a will to succeed. The Sun – and thus our Spell Rebellions – represents our outward activities and our face to the world. Our Spell Rebellions, like the Sun, speak to our creative abilities and our power to meet the challenges of everyday life. Like the Sun, our Spell Rebellions gives strength to others.
Full Moon Circles
Our full moon meditations are offered once a month.
To support our Spell Rebellion rituals, we offer our monthly Full Moon rituals so you attune yourself to the energy of the Moon as she sits in each particular zodiac sign. Where our Spell Rebellions focus on your outward “Activism in Accord”, the Full Moon rituals focus on the inner landscape. By focusing inward, you can remove blocks that keep you from manifesting your “Activism in Accord”. As Above, So Below. As Within, So Without.
What’s so special about Full Moon rituals?
For us to fully awaken to our inner divinity, we must learn to use our energy to create beauty & healing in our lives. One way to do this is to harmonize with the energy of Nature to restore ourselves and the Full Moon offers us a powerful chance to do so.
At the Full Moon, the energy is powerful and intense. As the bright and vibrant reflection of the Sun’s solar energy upon the Moon bounces cosmic energy upon the Earth, things become intensified, matters come to a head, and awareness is heightened, bringing clarity of vision.
This is a perfect time for releasing something that no longer serves you; or letting go of something that you no longer need in your life; or an opportunity to let go of an aspect of yourself that you have outgrown. You can get rid of the old, celebrating your emergence by stepping out of an old way of being / an old identity / behavior / attitude / relationship / frame of mind / situation.
A Full Moon ceremony is a powerful way to invoke this into our lives.
