This week thousands of women from throughout the world and representing most every spiritual tradition are converging on Salt Lake City for the Inaugural Women’s Assembly at the Parliament of the World’s Religions. This historic gathering of women is providing women sacred space to support women’s spiritual experiences and give women of all faiths a voice. Ara Founder and Parliament Vice Chair, Phyllis Curott, has penned a powerful op-ed in Time where she takes on the nexus of religion, sex and politics and calls on religious leaders to fulfil their spiritual duty and champion equal rights for women.
